The bridge between Syria and Russia begins here.

With pride and a profound sense of honor, I announce my appointment as General Representative of the Commission for the Protection of Businessmen's Rights in the city of Moscow, mandated for matters concerning the Syrian Arab Republic.

To me, this appointment is not merely a new title — it is a genuine responsibility, a trust I hold dear, and a commitment that extends my belief that strong economic relations begin with the protection of rights, the reinforcement of trust, and the creation of an environment where businessmen can work, invest, and build partnerships with confidence and peace of mind.

My mission is clear: to serve as an active bridge protecting the rights and interests of Syrian businessmen in Russia, and Russian businessmen in Syria. Economic relations between the two countries are not defined by trade deals alone, nor measured only by the scale of investment — they are measured by the trust an investor feels, by their ability to conduct business freely, and by the existence of clear channels to turn to when challenges or obstacles threaten their legitimate rights and interests.

This is where the importance of this responsibility begins: ensuring that a Syrian businessman operating in Russia knows with certainty that his concerns deserve to be followed up, and that the interests of a Russian businessman operating in Syria receive the same attention. Most importantly, working to bring the two business communities closer together, strengthening communication between relevant parties, and contributing to resolving issues that may arise in commercial and investment activity — within clear legal and institutional frameworks.

It is no secret that the most prominent dialogues between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa speak to the necessity of building the relationship between Damascus and Moscow on the principle of mutual and fair benefit for both countries.

Guided by this conviction, I take on this mission with a deep sense of responsibility — drawing on my experience in business and my knowledge of the Russian and global markets, and believing firmly in the importance of building practical bridges between Syrian and Russian businessmen.

Ahead of us lie many opportunities, challenges worth pursuing, and vast potential that can become real achievements — given the will, the vision, and cooperation.
